The Path to Perfect Peace

Two-Day Urban Retreat

Sat 28 Sep & Sun 29 Sep | 9.00am – 4.00pm

In this retreat, learn to strengthen your concentration, meditate effectively on the path to enlightenment that Buddha taught, and improve your mindfulness of Buddha’s teachings in daily life.

The stages of the path to enlightenment, or Lamrim, are outlined in a sequence of 15 meditations designed to help us take the essence of all Buddha’s 84,000 teachings to heart.

Using the inspiring, heartfelt advice given by Buddhist master Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche in the book ‘The Mirror of Dharma with Additions’, this retreat will help you to improve your contemplative meditations and deepen your spiritual practice.

Day 1. Living a happy life – Contemplate Buddha’s initial scope teachings including the preciousness of our human life, refuge and karma

Day 2. Making progress on the path to perfect peace – Contemplate Buddha’s intermediate and great scope teachings including compassion, wisdom and reliance upon a Spiritual Guide.

You can attend either or both days. This retreat is intended for those with some prior experience of Kadampa Buddhist teachings, though new people are welcome to participate.
